Computer Help! how do i fix my laptop ear phones connector/jack thingy went in? how do you open a laptop?

my laptop fell off my coffee table on to the carpet floor with my earphones connected to my laptop. it was only a few inches a foot a the most. when it fell the earphones pushed the jack in. What do i do? the laptop works fine and i don't think its broken. how do you open a laptop correctly? I have a DV6000 laptop. i was listening to music with my earphones when it fell and when the earphones plug thing went in I could still hear the music so i don't its broken it just simply went in but now i cant reconnect my earphones
