How should I wear my hair for Formal this weekend?

.I am 5'7, have short brown hair, and I am wearing a black lace dress and some red shoes. However, I have no idea how to do my hair. (it's about shoulder length with a few layers and front bangs that can be sideswept). I was thinking maybe an updo like the one Taylor swift does on te red carpet, but idk. It might be hard with hair so short. So I was wondering if anyone has a link or pic of some ideas please :) thanks!
