Old school library in LA?

I'm looking for a library similar to one from my childhood. It was build in 1971. It was one story and pretty small. I have very fond memories of the children's section, which makes me think of the 80s. Maybe because it had a colorful carpet, I don't know. It was a not very attractive brick building. I would really like to find a similar place where I can study!
