Trying to get speeding ticket reduced or dismissed. 86 in a 65mph zone?

I just got a speeding ticket and I know I was speeding (But I don't think at 86 like he put me down for). It was in a friend's new car and honestly, I'm not used to the smoothness and lost track since my car shakes at 70. Anyway, I want to fight it because it is my first incident since a crash 3 and a half years ago for which they dismissed the ticket given on site of the accident. I know I was speeding at however many miles over the limit so I don't want to bother lying since it's his word against mine. But do you think my clean record and admission of guilt with explanation will gain some sympathy from the magistrate and get the ticket reduced or thrown out? I am 22 in MA. First traffic offense here doesn't cost license points so no reflection on insurance rates
